Who Could Ask for a Better Birthday Than This

 Today was my birthday and it started out with an awesome opportunity to attend the Mount Timpanogos Temple with Alexis as she received her endowment. 

 Most of the family was able to attend and both of Alexis' grandfathers were there with her to share the day. 

 Alexis and Kim look like sisters. It is hard to believe Alexis is getting married in just a few weeks.

 After the temple we enjoyed a family picnic in the park. We could not have picked a more beautiful day!

 Kim made me an amazing cake and Claire fell in love with the motorcycle!

 Kris loved the wheat free cake and Marcus decided that his current favorite hat was making his head sweat a bit!

 The kids loved going on motorcycle rides with Andy and we all enjoyed being outside!

 In the evening we went to Grandpa and Grandma Bellows 70th wedding anniversary! Kris did an amazing drawing of two amazing people!

 Married during World War II they are a clear example of pure dedication to marriage and family. I hope to only develop even a part of the amazing character they display!

 Alexis and Tanner will marry this month so I thought a picture of the veterans and newbies was more than appropriate!

 I am very blessed by these amazing grandparents!

At the end of the evening we took a picture with Grandpa and Grandma, and the grandkids that were still there. It was a very fun evening and I have been very blessed with a great birthday celebration of family this entire day!

The Nerd in Me

 So deep down I have a very nerdy side that gets excited about things like my car rolling over 200,000 miles.

 I've been watching my Little Green Hornet (Honda) for weeks now, and tonight it rolled over 200,000 and I had to pull off the road and take a picture.

I know, I'm a nerd but a car running almost 17 years is awesome!

Happy Birthday Camille

 My good friend and co-worker, Camille Curtis, is having a birthday this weekend.

 So me and my work friends decided to fill her office space with balloons!

 It was a lot of fun and she was so surprised!

Spring Yard Day

 Every spring we come to Dad and Mom's and do some yard work and have a BBQ.

 This year the weather couldn't have been better and we had a lot of support, including Alexis and Tanner.

 Mackenzie and Kim were in town with Briana, who tried out and made the BYU cheer team! It was fun to have them with us!

 The flowers looked great and Claire was so cute in her gloves.

 Alyssa was nice and fed an Otter Pop to Mom. She loved being outside with all of us.

Everyone was worn out at the end, but they all worked very hard and had a great time!

Farewell to Eden, Hello Reunion

 On April 19th I went with friends to see our good friend, and fabulous actress, Sarah Stewart in the play Farewell to Eden. It was such a good play and will continue to play through next week in Provo. If you can go, I highly recommend it.

 Melanie, Cheryl, Sarah, and I have been friends since the 4th Grade and we are still going strong. We had a very fun evening together. Cheryl invited Marty Hathaway from school days to join us as well. It was great!

Sarah's parents, who I admire and consider my second parents, were also there. Farewell to Eden was great and the reunions with good friends could not have been better!

Training and Traveling

 On April 8-11th I went to training in Charlotte, North Carolina for work. Luckily I traveled with two work friends, Evelyn Owen and Tim Lewis, who both like the idea of seeing the sites. Of course I had to find the public library...

 We visited some of the the churches and cemeteries downtown. We thought there would be more historical sites, but instead we found more historical markers, than actual sites.

 This tree in the cemetery was planted and dedicated to the visit of General George Washington in 1791.

 I also found a Gillespie grave stone from the 1800's.

 The weather was so nice that we just kept walking and walking...

 we saw the federal building and 

 and the Carolina Panther's Stadium.

 We also enjoyed a free tour of the Mint Art Museum...

 and took some funny pictures.

 A restaurant we ate at had a corn hole game that we made sure we played and...

 Tim scratched his first lottery ticket. Unfortunately, he did not win. 

 Our last stop was at the Wells Fargo Museum. We found this thing that would put your face on confederate money and as you can see we had a lot of fun!

 We had a great trip and the training was very insightful!

After walking about 15 miles over the trip we went home very sleepy. So thankful I work with people I enjoy!
