More Christmas Fun with the Gillespies

Kris and Michelle brought their family up to my house on Tuesday for dinner and a trip to temple square.
Surprisingly it was not very busy and the lights were beautiful. Alaria looked like Ralphie from A Christmas Story in her snowsuit.
I love my family, it was a wonderful night filled with fun! Come visit me soon to see the Christmas lights.

Christmas Lights and Larsens

Matt and Kerri brought their family up to my house for dinner and then a ride on Trax to see the lights on temple square on December 5th.
We had a great time!

They relit my favorite red pine tree this year and I was so excited.
Cute Alyssa,
Happy Kaitlin
Near the Roof Restaurant they had large Nutcrackers that were really fun.
Self explanatory
The Joseph Smith Building, beautiful as always.

Saige slept the whole time except the last five minutes. She is so sweet.

A Suprising Night Filled With Twilight

On November 20th we went out to dinner and to see New Moon for Michelle's birthday. The Andersons surprised the Hortons by flying in from Washington just for the evening to sleepover. It was so fun to watch the Hortons and hear the squeals!
Andy ordered dessert for dinner and could not get enough chocolate fudge.
I took a picture of Michelle and Angie in a very dark theater. People did not like the flash but the previews had not even started yet. I must say the picture turned out great!
I made Michelle a New Moon tiara that she first wore apprehensively and then we could not get it off her head!

It was a very fun night. Thank goodness for fun with family and friends!

Yearly Pet Peeve

I love Christmas as much if not more than anyone else, but do we really have to start the Christmas music on the radio nonstop on Halloween?

A Field Trip and a Button

On Monday, Trey, Kaden, Julie, Kelly, Mom, and I went on field trip to the dinosaur museum at BYU.
We also did the classic Cougar shot, don't tell my U of U friends.
We went to the Bean Museum and Kaden was in heaven pushing every button he could find. I have never seen a kid as happy as he is about pushing buttons.

Of course we need a picture of Kelly by the wolf. She was a trooper walking around with a cast on her leg.

It's Autumn Time, It's Autumn Time

I am blessed to be able to walk to and from school everyday. In a sense it really is me time. Although the weather is getting cooler I love autumn. The changing leaves, birds in the trees and smells of fall always bring great thoughts and feelings to my mind and heart.
So since I don't have much time for hiking right now I will have to settle for my fifteen minutes to and from school everyday.

So I have not Posted in a While....

I saw this movie about a month ago and I will be honest it was very strange and extremely confusing. I do however know where George Lucas got many ideas for Star Wars.
However 2001 was intriguing to me so I checked out the sequel 2010. The sequel at least follows a more sequential story line and all I can say is "Hello Hal do you read me?"

Happy Birthday Melinda and Deah

Melinda and Deah both celebrate their birthdays in August so we decided to have a Salt Lake adventure to celebrate.
We went to the Salt Lake Cemetery and found some of the Prophet's and Church Leader's grave sites.
The Smith family plot includes Joseph F. and Joseph Fielding Smith.

We ate dinner at the Blue Plate Diner. It is a fun retro 40's diner and it is great fun! What great friends I have!
