June 23rd, Brought to You by the Letter M

This week I went to Santa Barbara to spend a few days with the Lecheminants. I had an awesome time!
On Monday, June 23rd, we started the day by heading to the Mesa. The weather could not have been better and I enjoyed the walk with these two crazy guys!
There was a tire swing just before you went down to the beach that we played on for a while. I loved this picture of Trey and the Light Saber in the background even makes it better!

The view from the Mesa was beautiful and perfect for pictures.

The actual beach was awesome as well. Avrey and I counted the steps to the beach and discovered it was 175. Julie also warned me that some people on this beach have no problem being in the nude, luckily we did not run into any "free spirits"!
We climbed trees and Avrey found a desk just her size at the top of the Mesa.

After the Mesa we took a trip out to the Santa Barbara Mission. We saw beautiful roses and got some great pictures.
Kaden liked the rose called "Just Joey",
The Mission was a beautiful place and we could not have picked a better day!

We did some pano shots in front of the building and some of them turned out quite crazy, like the one below....

Trey and Avrey considered lives as Monks.

After the Mission we went to as fun park and hiked around the rocks,
We ended the day with M&Ms and a Movie night. Who could ask for a better "M" day than that!

Summer Fun

On June 7th I went with Kris and Michelle to Thanksgiving Point to watch the movie "Sandlot" under the stars. Before the movie we went to feed the fish and I could not believe how many there were. The kids loved it!

On Monday, June 9th, some of the nieces and nephews came to swim at my pool. We had family night first and the boys did a great job coming up with a lesson and presenting it all by themselves.
What can I say, I have a great family!

Baltimore Conference

This week I was in Baltimore for work training. We were in training most of the day, but when we had time outside of the sessions I really enjoyed the water front.
I enjoyed getting to know and spending time with work and board members Adina, Michelle, and Andrew.
The weather was beautiful and the breeze off the water felt great,
In the harbor we enjoyed the view and a beautiful ship that is the last survivor of Pearl Harbor.

There were so many historic sites near the hotel and I wish I had more time to go to more of them. This was Shot Tower,

This was the beautiful St. Vincent de Paul Church.
I also went to the Seven Foot Knoll Light House. It was beautiful and had some great views.

I am really glad I attended this conference. I learned a lot and gained a new fire for the work I do! I also enjoyed the beauty of Baltimore!
