The Fourth of July Weekend was once again filled with Gillespie Family fun, starting with the sleepover in the backyard.
We roasted
marshmallows in the backyard and slept in tents. As always Spencer and Kris were both
spazes.
Grandpa made
snow cones and Cole loved the tiger's blood.
The kids became pretty sleepy but they were going like crazy all night.
Anderson's drove down for the week and we enjoyed having them at the sleepover. At 6:00am we headed to the balloon festival on the Fox Field.
The wind was bad so very few balloons inflated, but as always we had fun together.

In the evening we had a fun picnic and then went to the park to play kickball before the fireworks!
As you can see, two full days of fun with very little sleep fills the kids with so much feeling. I love my family!

Do we even remember what year this awesome tradition started? Even though we were not there this year I hope it never ends!
